Professional Guidance, Personal Connection

Hi, I’m Jennifer Weir-Harden, LCSW, a licensed psychotherapist serving clients across Indiana. For more than 25 years, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and mental health professionals navigating emotional and relational challenges. My work offers thoughtful, evidence-based care for those who value privacy, depth, and meaningful, lasting change.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Ball State University and my graduate degree from Howard University, and completed advanced training in psychodynamic and trauma-responsive approaches, including certification in women’s mental health, under the mentorship of experienced clinicians on the East Coast and in the Washington, D.C. area. This training informs how I help clients understand long-standing patterns and create space for insight, healing, and change.

The Heart of My Work

At the heart of my work is the belief that our present struggles often echo earlier experiences. Together, we explore these deeper layers with care and curiosity, creating space for understanding and lasting change.

In sessions, we explore patterns of thought, emotion, and relationship, not to judge them, but to understand where they came from and how they may still be influencing your life. As awareness grows, new ways of thinking and responding can begin to take shape.

Therapy with me is…

Growing up near the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Lake Michigan became where I went to think, breathe, and find calm.

Shore & Soul Counseling is deeply personal to me. At the water’s edge, I learned how steadiness creates room for reflection and how the rhythm of the waves can quiet an overwhelmed mind.

Like many women I work with, I understand what it means to juggle roles, show up for others, and quietly wonder where you went in the process. I know the ache of burnout, the weight of caregiving, and the longing for a life that feels more grounded and connected. What you’re carrying is real, and it makes sense that you’re tired. You deserve to be seen and validated for what you’re navigating.
